Make This Kid’s Stairway Slide with Cardboard
I seriously LOVE this idea for a DIY Stairway Slide! My little girl and I get some fun and zany ideas to entertain ourselves, especially when the weather’s too cold to go outside and play. I have a great loft office space in our home, and the stairs to it are perfect for this DIY kid’s toy slide! Plus, being a review blogger means a LOT of extra cardboard from all those shipping boxes we receive.
Tips:
- Use Caution! Obviously, hurdling yourself down stairs on a slick piece of cardboard has potential for unwanted wipeouts. Please supervise children and remove any items in the area that they might bump into. Use common sense. 🙂
- Use Ductape, rope or wire ties to hold cardboard in place so it doesn’t slide off the stairs. Punch a hole in edges of cardboard and string rope or ties through. Just be careful that it’s completely out of the way so kids won’t get caught on it. You could even put duct tape over to create a smooth surface.
This DIY project reminds me of the Slide Rider kickstarter I shared last year! But this is much less sophisticated and a lot cheaper!! lol!
