Dollar Store Craft – DIY Decor Serving Dishes
The Dollar Store is one of my favorite places to pick up crafting supplies. Not only because of the prices, but because they have such a mis-match of things that unless you know exactly what you need for whatever it is you have in mind, you really have to use your imagination. And, that’s fun! Crafting along with other arts is so therapeutic!
REPIN it on Pinterest!
For this Dollar Store Craft, I decided to put together a couple nice pieces worthy of display on the dinner table, buffet, or even on your dresser as a lovely jewelry holder (candy dish).
This is a great, quick, and simple idea for diy wedding serving dishes, diy party serving dishes, and would make wonderful diy gifts.
For this DIY Decor Serving Dishes craft, drop by your local Dollar Store, and pick up the following:
- 2 Glass Candle Holders ($2)
- 1 decorative glass bowl/candy dish ($1)
- 1 decorative glass plate ($1)
- Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks (most have at home already)
Put everything together simply by filling hot glue in the hole of the candle holder (to the top), and then around the top edge of the Candle Holders. Then, quickly center your decorative dished directly on top. Now, just let the glue set!
That’s it! I spent a total of $4 on TWO really nice decor serving dishes!
Note: Do not submerge in water when cleaning. If glue comes loose, peel off the old glue as much as possible, and re-apply.
