Cute Paper Bag Turkey for Thanksgiving

Also, you could use it as a fun centerpiece at the kid’s table if you usually have one.

What You’ll Need:
- Sheet of standard printer paper
- Scissors
- Fringe scissors (optional)
- Two small brown paper lunch bags
- Popcorn
- Hot-glue gun and hot-glue sticks
- Large brown paper shopping bag
- Plastic bags or wax paper for lining (optional)
- Parsley (optional)
- Fruit (optional)
- Corn-on-the-cob favor (optional)
Directions:
- For the frills on the drumsticks, cut a sheet of standard printer paper in half, lengthwise. Fold each half in half, lengthwise. Make small cuts with scissors or fringe scissors on folded edges to create loops.
- For the drumsticks, put your fist into the corners of each small paper bag, and use your other hand to mold and round the edges. Fill two-thirds of each small bag, then twist the opening of the bags closed. Hot-glue the uncut part of the frills to the twisted ends of the paper bags, and hot-glue the ends to hold them in place.
- For the turkey body, round the corners of the large paper shopping bag, then fill the bag with popcorn. Fold the side of the bag in, and tuck the bottom edge under, using hot glue to secure the edge closed.
- Use hot glue to attach the drumsticks to the sides of the turkey body. Lastly, place your masterpiece on a platter with parsley, fruit, and corn-on-the-cob favor (or anything else that fits the theme).
NOTE: if the popcorn is buttered or cooked in oil, use the plastic bags or wax paper to line the inside of the paper bags. Use a printed bag if you can’t find a plain, brown paper bag.
